Archimedes of Syracuse was born in Syracuse, Italy in 287 BCE. and died in mc.212 BCE

The Romans over ran the town that he was living in the General said to his troops "Of you find Archimedes of Syracuse don't kill him, bring him to me alive." Some roman soldier didn't think who he found was Archimedes so he killed him with his pila.

He also invented something called the Archimedes grabber arm. It was used to pick up enemy ships from the water then throw them away. There is a picture of it on the title screen.
