Katelyn Hogan My Personal Brand

Hello my name is Katelyn Hogan. I am currently a senior Communication major at the University of Louisville. I will graduate with my B.S. degree in May of 2017. Through my education the past four years I have learned a lot and discovered even more. Most importantly, I found that I have a passion for strategic communication, specifically, social media and public relations.

I am currently interning for KDF

I am proud to say that for the past few months I have been interning for the Kentucky Derby Festival as an events intern. While my responsibilities cover a wide variety of things I focus most of my time preparing and planning the 2017 miniMarathon, which occurs April 29th.

This is my festival car that I get to drive around! We love Honda for supplying us with transportation for this busy time of year!

I have also had the opportunity to prepare and work the KDF Fashion Show, Training Run Kick Off Event, Basketball Classic, Festival Unveiled, Bourbonville, Thunder over Louisville and the Pro Am Gold Tournament.

I have loved this experience more than I can express, and will support this organization for many years to come. For more information on the 2017 Kentucky Derby Festival or to purchase a Pegasus Pin visit ourĀ Website

For the past four years I have been an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Louisville.

Kappa Delta Sorority was founded in 1897 and encourages its members to "strive for that which is honorable beautiful and highest". I joined KD as a freshman and have met so many women who push me to be the best version of myself every day. Without their support I would not have held as many leadership positions as I did or applied to some of my internships. My friends are responsible for a lot of my achievements in college.

I have served as the external correspondence chair, public relations chair, recommendation letter chair, and historian the past four years. I have also organized events and fundraisers in support of Girl Scouts of America and Prevent Child Abuse America, Kappa Delta's twi national philanthropies.

Through education, internships, organizations, and my closest friends I know that I am ready to take on full time employment. I am excited to see what the future holds. I am eager to join a company that will push me everyday to be successful in what I love to do.
