  • Drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or remotely piloted aerial systems (RPAS) that are used in situations in which manned flight is too dangerous.

  • Help make the U. S. safer
  • Kill less civilians
  • Cheaper to use than other military weapons

  • More people become terrorists than the amount of terrorists killed
  • Targets may NOT be terrorists
  • violate international law

“The first targeted drone strike by the United States occurred on Feb. 4, 2002 in Afghanistan when a CIA Predator drone fired on a group they believed included Osama bin Laden. The targets, all killed, were civilians gathering scrap metal.”

“Drone strikes are justifiable as self-defense against an imminent threat and as strikes on an enemy force with which the U.S. is at war.”

“With the invention of drones, we crossed into a new frontier: killing that’s risk-free, remote, and detached from human cues.”
