Events Industry

The evolution of the Events industry has come a long way since 1969. Events were organised by people in power. As time has moved on and people have become more accustomed to enjoy special events, the event coordination industry has evolved. Events have always been a big thing but they have gone from religious gatherings to social events throughout time.

Before the 19th centuries, the events industry was very different from after World War II when celebrating special events changed history.

After the 2000’s many people started their own independent events, business and it started to become a very popular industry to work in.

In 1969, Woodstock was born; this was one of the first major festivals in history and coursed a roll on effect to the world.

The concert come about from the later coin to hippy movement, which aroused from the young people who opposed the Vietnam war, rejected traditional religious values, wore bright colours, engaged in the use of illegal drugs and loved rock n roll. Over half a million people attended Woodstock on a 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, NY with 32 acts playing.

Woodstock is known as one of the greatest happenings of all time and perhaps the most pivotal moment in music history.
