Healthy Food Recipe Oats-Uttapam

Oats are one of the healthiest grains we have. Oats are rich source of carbs and fiber. They contain good amount of protein too.

Grind Oats to make oats flour in mixture grinder. Take 5-8 spoon of flour in a bowl and mix well with 3-4 spoon of fresh curd.

Add 1 table-spoon of salt, red-chilly powder, black-pepper powder.

Beat for 3-4 minutes and keep aside.

Chop a medium-sized onion, tomato, coriander leaves, green-chilly. Add a small spoon of salt to it. 4-5 drops of lemon can be added for taste.

Heat Non-stick Tawa for 1 minute and grease it with oil for a while.

Now, pour oats-paste on it and spread it to make uttapam using laddle. It shouldn't be very thick and also not very thin. Leave it to cook from base.

Sprinkle onion-tomato mix on uttapam. Cook til it can be turned over on low flame. Once cooked from base side, turn it to the other side and heat for 2 minutes just to bind onion tomato well with uttapam.

Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.

1. If the flour-curd paste become very thick, add enough water to it so that it can be spread easily on tawa.

2. You can add ginger and garlic to uttapam paste to enhance taste.

This recipe can be eaten while at breakfast or dinner, if you want some light dinner.
