The first agricultural revolution is known as the Neolithic Revolution. It is the transformation of human society from hunting to farming. This occurred from 10,000 BC to 2,000BC

Neolithic Revolution

The second revolution is called the industrial revolution. This occurred from 1700 to 1900 in the developed countries. Crop productivity has highly increased during the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe.

Industrial revolution farming

The third revolution is called the Green Revolution. This occurred between the 1970s and the 1980s. They had new advances in crops with better production, performance and land efficiency.

The Green Revolution farming

A genetically modified organism is a plant, animal, microorganism or other organisms whose genetics makeup has been modified using recombinant DNA methods.

Subsistence is the action or fact of maintaining or supporting oneself at a minimum level. Sustainable is to be able to be maintained at a certain rate or level. Commercial farming is farming for a profit, where food is produced by advanced by technological means for sale in the market.

Fun facts: Farming began around 10,000 BC, bananas are the number one food crop in the world.
