I chose to do my project on my younger sister, Ella. This fall she just started middle school so there are many new changes in her life. While conquering the social and academic challenges of middle school, she also has to balance outside activities and friendships. I think it’s inspiring how at 11 years old she manages school, playing clarinet in the band, and competitive dance while still being able to have a social life. When people see my project I hope they are able to look at children and teenagers as more than just young and irresponsible. My goal is to show that young people have just as much on their plates as adults do and that they are a lot more mature than the stereotypes show.
