Have you ever wondered what happens before the orchestra starts playing and the chorus sings? A whole lot of fun, for starters. The LHS Orchestra and Chorus Concert took place on Tuesday, Dec. 13 featuring the String Orchestra, Chamber Singers, Notations, Chamber Orchestra, and Concert Chorus. The photos below show the students as they get dressed backstage in their black-and-white concert attire, are led in vocal warm ups, tune their instruments, and finally appear onstage. The songs for a winter’s night included selections by Irving Berlin and Stephen Sondheim, Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Strauss. Joshua Salzman and Nancy Ciminnisi conduct.
