THE FAULT IN OUR STARS by:John green/ Joselyn de leon latin

"The Fault In Our Stars" is about a 16 year old girl named Hazel Grace who was diagnosed with lung cancer and she attends a cancer patients' support group at her mother's request. Hazel later on realized that it was a good idea to go the support group because she meets a boy named Augustus Waters. Augustus is at support center to support a friend named Issac. Issac had one eye removed and now has to remove his other eye. After the meetings, Augustus approached Hazel, they started hanging out and they shared their experience with cancer with each other. After hanging out for a while , Hazel and Augustus fall involve with each other. Augustus started feeling weaker as the days pass by, and that is when Hazel realized that she loves him more then ever, and as Augustus life is coming to an end, Hazel tells him how she felt about him and Augustus dies 8 days later. On the day of the funeral, Issac tells Hazel that Augustus was writing a novel for her called "An Imperial Affliction". And in the novel, Augustus informs Hazel that Anna was his daughter that died at the age of 8 because of cancer.

In my opinion, I would rate "The Fault In our Stars" a 10 because I love how John Green included a love story with a sad story, it gave the novel a nice and sad tone at the same time. I think people who are into romance or sadness will have a great time reading this novel. I would really recommend this book because not only is it romantic and sad but it is also based on cancer which can be very interesting for people who love helping with that illness or are very concerned for the kids with disabilities. I believe my favorite part was when Augustus and Hazel first met because you can tell that they were going to be the main characters and that something was going to happen between them. I believe the motif of "The Fault In Our Stars" is life and death because both things are shared between Hazel and Augustus's relationship. Both life and death is expressed because both share a some sort of cancer and later on Augustus passed away. I would truly read another book that is similar to this novel or that is written by John green. I really do recommend it for other people.

Quote : "My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations" "My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations" "I will not tell you our love story, because—like all real love stories—it will die with us, as it should"

This Relates to the novel because it represents the cancer symbol which both Hazel and Augustus had some sort of cancer.
This represents how well Hazel and Augustus's relationship was, an unbreakable bond.
This represents the good times Hazel and Augustus had together before he had to leave.
This relates to the novel because it expresses how Hazel felt knowing she was going to lose Augustus physically but not mentally.
This represents the amount of love Hazel and Augustus had for each other throughout the story.
