How are all the severe weather alike?

There are many types of severe weather, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzard, tsunami'sĀ and sand storms. I learned about all these types of weather and how they occur

A tornado is formed when updrafts and downdrafts in a thunderstorm interacting with the wind shear, resulting in a tilting of wind shear to form an upright tornado vortex.

People call these storms by other names, such as typhoons or cyclones, depending on where they occur. The scientific term for all these storms is tropical cyclone.
