Return to Learn: Hybrid
We are looking forward to the return of our students to in-seat instruction. Our teachers and staff are preparing the building and making the final adjustments. On October 12th, we are planning to welcome our 6th graders. Over the following weeks we will bring back the rest of our students.
We are so proud of our teachers for adapting our instructional model to the hybrid format while continuing to provide rigor and high engagement for our online students "Zoomies" and our in-seat students "Roomies"! This will be a new process but we are excited about providing a learning format that meets the individual needs of our families.
Later this week, I will share our Parent Return to Learn Guidebook that will outline details regarding our day to day procedures, assigned entrances for parent drop off and bus transportation students, directional traffic maps, lunch and more. We appreciate your patience with this process and can't wait until the big day. It feels like the first day of school again!
Count Day is Wednesday, October 7, 2020
Wednesday, October 7th is pupil accounting "Count Day". School count day is the day when all the public schools in Michigan tally up the number of students attending their school. The number of students "in school" on count day (In our case Online) determines the amount of state funding that schools receive.
It is important to note that students will need to attend all of their classes! We will have a special schedule where all hours will meet. 6th grade electives will meet for approximately 25 minutes each. Please see the schedule below. Thank you for making sure that your student is counted.
