The Lion League by pride inclusive sports

The Lion League engages students in intentionally including their special needs peers. A group/club at any middle school, high school or church can be a chapter of The Lion League. Chapters meet once a month with talking points coming in a monthly memo from Pride Inclusive Sports headquarters.

Our goal is to support inclusion with special needs students through intentional thinking. We want to teach respect, intentionality, thoughtfulness and kindness while creating naturally inclusive adults.

Lion League members have the power to help their special needs peers reach new levels of positive academic, social, and personal development.

With inclusion, both typical children and children with a disability, show overall academic improvements and a greater motivation to learn.*

Children become more respectful and productive when students with disabilities are included. Inclusion introduces life lessons that are not in any textbook, it encourages personal excellence and it fosters interdependence as each person makes valuable contributions.*

What am I doing? I am igniting a movement to create inclusion minded adults. - Arielle Hobbs

Heading into 2017, our goals were to launch three Lion League pilot programs and to raise 50k. We quickly secured three schools in January of 2017 that will launch Lion Leagues in March 2017. We have since readjusted out goals to launch five Lion League chapters and raise 100k in 2017.

The Lion League program is sustainable by utilizing our dedicated members/volunteers and keeping our overhead costs to a minimum. Our revenue sources come from two large fundraisers we have each year, individual and corporate giving, and our Inclusion Training Workshops.

Pride Inclusive Sports is proud to run on a lean annual budget of just under 100k a year. Our 2017 budget is always available for your review.

Join our Pride to support inclusion in business through our inclusion workshops, and creating intentional and respectful adults through our Lion League chapters.
