A Glance at the Cobras
The Coker College wrestling team will host the Coker Duals on Saturday (Jan. 12), with wrestling set to begin at 8 AM. The Cobras will be taking on Truett McConnell, Ohio Valley University, Mercyhurst, and Bluefield College. Live stats and video will be available at www.cokercobras.com. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
Last Time Out
The Cobras got out to a fast start in their dual meet with Limestone after impressive showings by John Watts and Chris Poland. Brett Shurina and Ramon Correa were the other Coker wrestlers to pick up wins at Limestone.
Player to Watch
Poland is coming off an excellent month of December which saw him pick up five victories, including three at the prestigious Midwest Classic. Last time out, Poland dominated his match and picked up a 9-4 decision.
