Imperialism is the process initiated by a dominant country aiming to impose its ideas, agenda, and interests on countries that are considered less dominant.

Some examples of imperialism are the United States' annexing of the Hawaiian islands, the U.S. also acquired a colonial empire consisting of the Philippines, Guam, Samoa, Puerto Rico and Cuba

The Industrial Revolution gave Great Britain gave the opportunity to colonize Africa.

Italy had conquered North Africa, Eritrea, and Somalia.

Russia annexing Crimea and their imperialism in Asia.
