Important Discovery Made By Local Student BY gevin. a student in UHs.

THE PLANET THAT GIRL HAS FOUND

UNIONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - The discovery of a super-Earth sized planet orbiting a Sun-like star is made by two girl XXX XX and XXX in XXX XXX School.

"I don't know it's actually a new star. " said one of the girl XXX " it's like dreaming."

When they first time find the planet, they don't believe their eyes. but NASA's Kepler space telescope has helping them captured evidence of it, because the space telescope is finding other potentially habitable planets and the sea of stars in galaxy.

The new discovery is Kepler-532x, fires the planet hunter's imagination because it is most similar to the Earth-Sun system found yet.The planet is about 1,400 light-years away from the Solar System. At the speed of the New Horizons spacecraft, about 59,000 km/h (37,000 mph), it would take approximately 26 million years to get there.

NASA's Kepler spacecraft capture space picture

NASA's Kepler spacecraft was observing stars on its photometer, the instrument it uses to detect transit events, in which a planet crosses in front of and dims its host star for a brief and roughly regular period of time. In this last test, Kepler observed 50000 stars in the Kepler Input Catalog, including Kepler-452b, and they have conform Kepler-532x is actually a real star that they never found before; the preliminary light curves were sent to the Kepler science team for analysis, who chose obvious planetary companions from the bunch for follow-up at observatories.

"I feel really proud of my student, their spirit and their knowledge."said one of the principal
