Reflections on Adobe EdEx My journey in digital media production

Assignment 1: Travel Commercial

My first assignment in the Adobe EdEx course: Skill Builder: Digital Video was to create a 15 second travel commercial using readily available stock footage. I enjoyed this assignment as it has been a while since I actually took the time to sit down and create something that was really for no other purpose than to create. I realized how much I miss having that time.

Overall, I'm fairly pleased with the finished product. I did go 5 seconds over, but even getting it that short was impressive to me. There were many more scenes I wanted to use to establish the story line better. But, alas, there's only so much you can put in during 15-20 seconds.

I also thought the entire project would output at full 1080, but this did not happen. I believe this was due to the size of the original footage, but it could also have been something wrong in my export settings. This is definitely one area of Premier I want to learn how to do better. Also, I had wanted to adjust one of the color clips to b/w and although I figured the process out, I could not get it to work properly. But, overall I think it's fairly good for my first assignment.
