An Update From WESD July 2021

Dear WESD Partners and Key Communicators,

We have had a busy summer so far preparing for the 2021- 2022 school year and I could not be more proud of the work our staff has been putting in. I am looking forward to sharing a great school year with our community. Thank you for your continued partnership.

A Summer of Learning

In the month of June, WESD hosted our Summer Academy, SENSE-sational Gifted Summer Program, Summer Academy for Refugee Students, Native American Summer Academy and Extended School Year (ESY). Over 3,500 students joined us for these targeted, supplemental learning opportunities. Throughout July, we will have over 600 students participating in our KidSpace Summer Camp.

It has been a great summer of learning and I would like to thank the teams in Academic Support Services, Gifted Services, Special Services, Social Services and Native American Programs for making these opportunities available for our students.
