IN PROUD ASSOCIATION WITH

To Provide A Safe and Clean Environment For Future Generations

Artistic Skylight® together with the Toronto Region Conservation Foundation, will be joining in a shoreline clean-up day at Humber Bay Park West, Toronto on Friday July 19th, 2019.

Our mission with this initiative is to support children with early childhood illnesses due to pollution in our environment. In doing this Artistic Skylight® will be donating a part of all invoices generated from the months of July to September to the Garron Family Cancer Center at Sick Kids Hospital.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

INCREASED ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS

Fact 1: More than 1 in 4 child deaths could be prevented by cleaning up the environment. Environmental risks are increasing and currently account for 26% of child deaths worldwide (approx. 1.7 million children annually).

ASTHMA AND CANCER RATES ON THE RISE

Fact 2: Asthma and cancer prevalence in children is increasing worldwide due to decreasing air quality. This is contributed to tobacco smoke, pesticides, carcinogens, and other unknown sources.

Air Pollution Is Our Greatest Enemy

Fact 3: Air pollution is the greatest environment risk to children’s health. With the majority of deaths to children under 5 years old have been linked to indoor and outdoor air pollution and second-hand tobacco smoke.

Safe Water & Sanitation

Fact 4: Water is one of our most precious resources but has the fewest regulations on pollution. Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene could prevent 361 000 child deaths from dehydration and intestinal infections.
