Answer: Being a good citizen can mean many things. As a citizen, you have many rights. Right are things that you are allowed to do, as long as you don't disturb other citizens. It is your job to respect your rights and others rights. One of your rights is the freedom of speech. It is a right because it's important to speak your mind, because what you say matters to the community. You also have many responsibilities. It's your job to follow your responsibilities. A responsibility is something you are expected to do. One, for example paying taxes. It's a responsibility because if you don't pay taxes, the government doesn't have any money to do things, like build highways. Another responsibility is to follow laws. Laws are very important because with them, you know what and what not to do and they can keep you safe.

Answer: Democracy is the most effective form of government. It is very effective because of several reasons. First, its that in democracy, there is limited government. This includes rule of law, which means laws are enforced, and even the leaders must follow the laws. Another reason is that democracy has a constitution. A constitution is sort of like a rule book for our country. It is important because the constitution protects the rights and responsibilities of the citizens. The constitution states many laws and such to keep the country out of anarchy. These are some reasons why democracy is such an effective form of government.

Answer: The supranational cooperation among nations in the EU have both centripetal and centrifugal forces. There are some centrifugal forces the drive the EU apart. One centrifugal force that there is a language barrier within the EU, so all important document and the parliament have to be translated into approximately 23 different languages. Another is that with adding more and more countries to the EU, there is more disagreements with the decisions made by the EU. Also, people in the more wealthy Western Europe worry about losing their jobs to the less wealthy Eastern Europe.There are some centripetal forces that unite the EU. One centripetal force is that most countries in the EI use the euro, so they don't have to go through the trouble to do a currency exchange Another centripetal force is instead of being seen as competing globally, the countries of the EU have a trade bloc to be more successful globally. Last centripetal force is that there is no border guards in the EU, so citizens of the EU can live or move freely in the eu. In conclusion, there are many centripetal and centrifugal forces that unite and divide the EU nations.
