Question: What deos it mean to be a good citizen?

Voting is one of your rights and responsibilities as a US citizen

Answer: Being a good citizen can mean many things. As a citizen, you have many rights. Right are things that you are allowed to do, as long as you don't disturb other citizens. It is your job to respect your rights and others rights. One of your rights is the freedom of speech. It is a right because it's important to speak your mind, because what you say matters to the community. You also have many responsibilities. It's your job to follow your responsibilities. A responsibility is something you are expected to do. One, for example paying taxes. It's a responsibility because if you don't pay taxes, the government doesn't have any money to do things, like build highways. Another responsibility is to follow laws. Laws are very important because with them, you know what and what not to do and they can keep you safe.
