Balloon Reconnaissance

The purpose of the Balloon Reconnaissance project was to design a stratospheric probe that could capture a picture along with altitude data from the low to mid stratosphere. The probe would be launched by a weather balloon and had to cost <$250.00 (not including the cost of 70 cubic feet of helium.) The design my group and I came up with for this project involved a high impact polystyrene capsule that would carry an action camera, a plethora of sensors, and a 5 foot parachute.
