Madam C.J. Walker The hair care product inventor

Madam C.J. Walker was born as Sarah Breedlove on December 23, 1867, near Delta, Louisiana. She suffered from scalp ailment which caused her to lose her hair, and decided to do something about it. Madam C.J. Walker made a famous hair care product. She made it to help her and their women who had problems growing their hair.

When Walker was 14 years old, she escaped from her brother's home since she was a slave. To get away from her brother's, she married a man. Minding you she was only 14 years old. Her life must have been HAIRAFYING! She became a mother at 17 years old. She must have been stressed!

Madam C.J. Walker's hair products are still around today. And people still use them!

Madam C.J. Walker became the women to be a self-made millionaire.

Unfortunately, Madam C.J. Walker died on May 25, 1919 at age 51.
