The Curse Stops Here Self-Image

What causes us to gravitate towards people who are not building us up but tearing us down? Why do we keep company with people who are not going in the direction we are? What makes us need to be in the presence of people who drain us of our dreams?

Well, I don’t even know, AND I have no desire to investigate that part of me. It has kept me in a place of complacency and struggle for too long. I know that there is greatness inside of me and I Am going to Get It.

The curse stops here today. I am casting it out and I invite God to come live in these areas of weakness that continue to tell me, "no one wants to hear what you have to say". "You are just a copy cat of someone else who already made it". "You don’t have anything special to offer". "Just keep doing what you are doing you are doing ok".

The curse stops here. I was created in the image of God and I have a purpose. "Greater works shall you do", that’s what Jesus told me. (John 14:12-13 Living Bible (TLB)) I want greater and greater. It is my desire to live according to God’s plan for my life. No more excuses and shame. The curse stops here. I am created to make a difference for the Kingdom of God, and I WILL!

John 14:12-13 Living Bible (TLB) 12-13 “In solemn truth I tell you, anyone believing in me shall do the same miracles I have done, and even greater ones, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask him for anything, using my name, and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son, will do for you.

Father God, I thank You for creating me in Your image. I repent for the times when I looked to someone else for my identity when I know I should have been looking to You. Move on the inside of me oh God, until my image reflects You. And when I get off focus and begin to listen to the world's view of me, nudge me Father God, back into focus so that I can continue to reflect You in everything that I do. In Jesus Name Amen.
