Year 6's Away Day Waterside Lodge, Southport, Thursday 11th July 2019

The theme for our Away Day was 'Our Planet'.

We started with breakfast at Frankie and Benny's.

We walked to Waterside Lodge, by Marine Lake.

We looked at photos to remind ourselves of our journeys at Great Crosby.

We watched David Attenborough's speech about the environment at Glastonbury and wrote our own speeches.

We made pots using old newspaper and put paper flowers inside.

We did a dance to Emeli Sande's song 'Wonder'.

We made friendship bracelets for each other.

We watched Matthew West's video of his song 'Do Something' and thought of things that we could do to make our world a better place.

We celebrated our day of reflection and thinking about our planet, with Mass led by Father John. We used stones to represent the things that we have done wrong and dropped them into Marine Lake.
