2019 HIGHLIGHTS

It's been another busy 12 months at Eagle Lighting Australia and so we wanted to take a moment to share some of our 2019 highlights.

EVENTS

As well as sponsoring the award for 'Best Workplace Project' at the Property Council of Australia IEA Awards, we were also once again a proud associate sponsor of the Property Congress 2019.

ILLUMINATION FOR THE AGES

Working in collaboration with Eagle Lighting Australia, Henrik Clausen (Fagerhult Lighting Academy) released a series of articles looking at the impact that a global ageing population will have on lighting design.

GLOBAL THOUGHT LEADERS

A follow on from Henrik Clausen's visit to Australia/New Zealand in 2018, Fagerhult contributed to the 'Global Thought Leaders' documentary series.

PUSH-UP CHALLENGE

Team ELA completed 39,165 push-ups in 21 days, raising $4,948 to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

The Push-Up Challenge raises money to support 'headspace', National Youth Mental Health Organisation.

SWEDEN STUDY TOUR 2019

We once again took part in a study tour to Fagerhult's headquarters in Sweden.

A part of the program was a pre-launch event at Fagerhult's new retail showroom in Jönköping (pictured).

EDUCATIONAL ROADSHOWS

2019 saw Ian Johnson (Product and Application Manager - Lighting Solutions) give educational presentations around Australia and New Zealand on topics which included:

FEATURED PROJECTS

PRAHRAN HIGH SCHOOL - VIC

Victoria now has a trio of sky-high public schools with Prahran High School being the third vertical college opening in 2019.

The interior and exterior lighting concept design features a combination of lighting solutions from Fagerhult, Eagle Lighting Australia and Simes.

The products supplied to this project included Notor 65, Notor Recessed LED, Excis. Vertex, Cleanroom IP65 LED, Skill and Lobby.

RITCHIES IGA FINE FOODS (VIC)

The Ritchies IGA Fine Food Supermarket in Rowville Melbourne was recently refurbished and launched to rave reviews.

The products supplied to this project included iTrack, Touch, Nitor and Hero.

WOLLONGONG CITY COUNCIL -NSW

Wollongong City Council achieved Australia’s first 5 Star Green Star Performance rating, with additional upgrades resulting in the building achieving a 6 Star Green Star Performance rating in June 2019.

One of the major improvements implemented was the installation of Eagle Lighting Australia’s Indigo Maestro Beta luminaire, paired with the advanced wireless lighting control of Organic Response.

BOWEN HOUSE - WELLINGTON, NZ

Winner of a Lighting Design Commendation Award for Energy Efficiency at the IESANZ Awards 2019, Bowen House is a 22-storey office building in Wellington, New Zealand.

Leased by the Parliamentary Service for government staff, the Bowen House upgrade is the first full high-rise building in New Zealand to install Organic Response lighting controls.

The combination of the Aureled and the advanced lighting controls of Organic Response provides the New Zealand government with one of the country’s most cutting edge lighting systems.
