What was the Trojan war?

In Greek mythology, the Trojan War was a war between the Greeks and the people of Troy.

How did the war started and ended?

It started, when Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, gave Prince Paris of Troy, Helen, the most beautiful women on earth. But little did Prince Paris know that Helen was King Menelaus of Sparta's wife. When Meneluas asked for Helen back Paris would not give her. And so they both started the war. It ended, by the Trojans taking a "surrendering gift" from the Greeks. This gift is known as the Trojan horse, and inside the horse were the Greeks hiding, and ready to attack. While the Trojans slept, the Greeks defeated them.

Who were the major players in the war?

The major players in the war were Achilles and Odysseus.

How does the Odyssey relate to it?

This relates to odyssey, because it was in the same time of the Trojan war.

Who is Homer?

Homer is a semi-legendary author of two epic poems. The lliad and odyssey, the central works of Greek Literature.
