1st amendment

The first admentment is freedom of speech. Allows you to say what you want and express yourself. This court case was started by a student posting rude things about her principal. The girl was in the wrong about saying these things about her principal, so the school decided she shouldn't be aloud to run for class secretary. Although she was unable to run for class secretary her classmates were still able to wear shirts that said "Team Avery" which they were all supporting what she did on this blog, but that just has to go with the whole freedom of speech. I do agree with what the school did, but at the same time I don't believe the shirts still being aloud okay. It's teaching them it's still okay to get away with things like that. Going against a principal and calling that person names is not okay and never will be.
