As this school year comes to a close, there are a few things we want to share with you. Let's start with a letter from our principal, Mr. Hatfield.
Pike Road Elementary School's office will be open Monday- Thursday from 8:00 - 12:00.
Lost & Found
There are still some articles in the lost & found. It is currently located in the front lobby of the school. It will be here until next Wednesday afternoon, June 9. If your child has misplaced their jacket please come check our lost & found during our summer hours (see above).
If your child was absent for the last day of school, their report card will be in my office for you to pick up. If your lead learner gathered your supplies and notebooks, they will also be in my office until Thursday, June 9. After June 9, everything beyond a report card/ iReady report will be discarded.
If you did not purchase a yearbook, we have a few in the office for sale. If you would like to purchase one, you can come to the office and bring cash or check (no cards) during office hours (see above). Yearbooks are $50. *We can not hold a yearbook for you to purchase.
Withdrawals & Re-enrollment
If this is your last year at Pike Road Schools, we wish you a safe summer and safe travels. If you have not done so, please withdraw your child by filling out the form linked below and return it to email@example.com .
We are unable to re-enroll any of our current students at this time. We plan to open re-enrollment in mid-July. You will receive an email from our district when registration is open to our returning families.
summer meal program
The Pike Road Schools Summer Meal Program will run from June 2 through July 28, 2021. Join us as we strive to EAT WELL, LIVE WELL & BE WELL this summer! We will be serving seven-day meal kits containing at least 6 pounds of fresh produce; most will be Alabama grown! The first week will also feature Johnsonville Sausage (13.5 oz), Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes (13.5 oz), Cheez-It Crackers (7 oz), Austin Peanut Butter Crackers, and a gallon of milk! You will not want to miss a week of great meal options! All children 18 and under are eligible to participate. Each child will receive food for 7 breakfast meals and 7 lunch meals. Meals will be served while supplies last.

Summer meals are available at no charge to all children ages 18 and under. No application is necessary. Starting June 2nd, meal tags will be issued at the serving site during the meal service time. We encourage parents/guardians to complete the Meal Tag Info Form in advance. You can access the Meal Tag Info Form at the link below. Info forms will be available onsite as well. A meal tag info form needs to be completed for each household.
Take the challenge to eat well, live well, and be well this summer! Strive to eat fresh produce, drink water, exercise, and read every day this summer! The summer challenge tracker is available below. Print the tracker and encourage your children to keep up with their progress this summer.

Musical Theater Workshop

We wanted to share this brief information about a learning resource parents and students can use over the summer break. The goal is to reduce “the summer slide” and to prepare our students for the upcoming academic year. We will officially kick off this year’s Alabama Summer Learning Challenge next week.
