Birds in action at Fort DeSoto Park STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY ROBERT NEFF

Nov. 11-13, 2017. Fort DeSoto Park is a natural set of keys off St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach, Florida. This area is pristine and has several pristine beaches with white sand. The beaches and outdoor activity includes canoe and kayak liveries, several piers, ferry to Egmont Key, camping, dog park, nature, and much more. These photographs are from the beach adjacent to the bird sanctuary. This is prime bird watching area. This is a stop for bird watchers and bird tour groups routinely stop here.

My book, Pelican Beakon, earned a silver medal at 2017 Florida Authors and Publishers Association President's Book Award in the short story fiction category. The Pelican Beakon is a newspaper for pelicans, by pelicans, and their one staff human photographer who dreams of being writer. Read more about the Pelican Beakon on its website.
