CSI BASEBALL 2018 SEASON PREVIEW

No strangers to success, the College of Staten Island baseball program comes in rich with history and with the hardware to match, taking home the last three CUNYAC Championships. Still, the Dolphins are coming into 2018 embracing the role of the underdog, as they were picked to finish second in the CUNYAC preseason poll, despite bringing back a huge nucleus of returning talent and a handful of new faces all looking to make a lasting mark. Set against the backdrop of what is always a rigorous regional schedule, CSI will, as always, look to be peaking by the end of the season, just in time for the CUNYAC Championship, which they will again host in early-May. No matter where they get picked during the preseason, it is easy to see that the Dolphins plan to contend for a title from start to finish, and if things break right, they hope to contend for an at-large entry into the elusive NCAA Tournament.
