The endocrine system is like an orchestra

Hormones: They check the conditions of parts of the body and they are chemical messages

Hypothalamus: Links the nervous system and the endocrine system, secretes hormones that act on the pituitary gland, pituitary gland or 'master gland' secretes more hormones or makes less of them, controls important aspects such as body temperature, rate of metabolism and water content

Homeostasis: Proper balance of chemicals and other substances in the body, harmonious functioning and coordination of all the various bodily process and organs, it controls temperature, balancing chemicals, glucose levels, growth and water
