Russell Westbrook is the first player to be averaging a triple-double in a season since 2005. His determination on and off the court has made him a very successful person. Russell was born November 12, 1988 in Long Beach California. He grew up in Lawndale and went to Leuzinger high school. He went to UCLA for only two years before entering the NBA. During the off-season Westbrook had resumed attending classes at UCLA. He went back to school to get a degree in case he needed it later in life. Westbrooks hard work and determination on and off the court have gained him many accomplishments.

Westbrook has accomplished a lot in his 9 seasons in the NBA. In his first year in the NBA he was named first team all rookie. He has been to five all-star games (not counting the one he is going to play in this year) and was named MVP twice. He was also, an NBA scoring champion. He has won a gold medal in the Olympics and a FIBA World Cup gold medal. When he was in college he was named PAC-10 defensive player of the year. He wants to add a championship ring to this list as soon as he can but, until then those are his accomplishments.

Ever wonder what star Athletes would be if they got injured or didn't make it to where they are? Well, Russell would be a fashion designer. He usually wears some type of crazy outfit to pregame and postgame interviews. He sits front row during New York's fashion week and passes time designing clothes. He has also, released multiple clothing lines and a couple shoe lines. To sum it up, Westbrook loves fashion and is considered the fashion king of the basketball world.
