Hello, Fall! My Week in Sports - Week of September 25, 2017

It was Fall Break which means it was an extremely quiet week for sports in Cobb County, Georgia. Fortunately, there was one sport that I had the opportunity to shoot, Allatoona Fast Pitch Softball.

It wasn't a home game but since the opponent was Harrison High School, I didn't have to travel far. Harrison is actually closer to my house than Allatoona.

Going into this game, Allatoona was 2nd in the 6-AAAAAA region with Harrison at 3rd.

At the start of the 3rd inning, Allatoona was leading Harrison 2-1.

By the 6th inning, Allatoona widened the lead.

Final Score:

Harrison 2

Allatoona 10

Allatoona and Harrison met up again four days later in the first-round game of the double-elimination Region 6-AAAAAA tournament at Creekview. Once again, Allatoona pulled off a victory after rallying to score four runs in the 10th inning. They beat Harrison 8-7 and will play top-seeded Creekview on Wednesday, October 4th.

On deck for me this week is Allatoona Volleyball vs Sequoyah and Harrison while JV and Freshman Football take on River Ridge. Varsity Football will travel to Creekview for #FridayNightLights.

Until then...

Every game is everything.
