John Edgar Hoover By: Katy Chisholm

Early years

Born in January 1, 1895, J. Edgar Hoover was born in Washington D.C.. Even though having a birth cirtificate was required by law in D.C. He didn't get his till he was 43, even though his siblings had theirs when they were born. Edgar was actually had a studdering problem and to get over this problem he learned to talk really fast, which would help him with his career in the future. He went to George Washington University to get his bachelors in law. During his years at the university he was in a lot of debates at the school. When he was 18 he got his fist job at the library of congress. This job helped him work out how the FBI should work

The cure for crime is not the electric chair, but the high chair

Starting the FBI

After becoming head of The Bureau of Investigation general intelligence division, which was similar to the FBI. At first his crew was suppose to check or mess up all the "domestic radicals". Eventually he even got an assistant named George Rush. They worked together to punish all the radicals who they thought would be a danger. Eventually he became the director after the attorney general selcted him be it. Later the president appointed him to the job. He fired a lot of workers and moved a few people because they were shining out him or they looked weird. A bit after what it is called "The Gangster Wars" John changed the name to the Fedral Bureau Investigation, also known as the FBI. He even helped expand and create the FBI laboratory, which has helped solved many cases and it's still helping today.

Looked stupid like truck drivers

Evil Plans

Even though this guy create the FBI he isn't all that great. He had many files found after his death that proved he could rid of almost any political figure. Some people even thought he had papers that kept the presidents from firing him, but later that was proven as a myth. He had lots of other things including one that was used to stop communist parties but it was considered 'illegal', by breaking into homes of suspects and even spreading rumors about targets. The people actually found out about this due to burglary that happened. All in all this guy had a lot of power.

Justice is incidental to law and order.

Effect on history

J. Edgar Hoover did some awful things but he did create one of americas best investigation group. We still have this group today and there still working to protect America. Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

No amount of law enforcement can solve a problem that goes back to the family.
