SHANNON WING NAMED NEWMAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK IN 14-9 OPENER AGAINST KEENE STATE

In MIT's only game of the week, a 14-9 victory over Keene State on Wednesday, first-year Shannon Wing tallied four caused turnovers and three groundballs while also producing six draw controls and a goal in her intercollegiate debut.

At the ITA Women's Indoor Team Championship in Nashville, first-years Amber Shen and Ashley Teng posted a 2-1 record at No. 3 doubles vs. three nationally-ranked teams that are all in the top 15. The duo earned an 8-6 win vs. No. 10 U Chicago and ended the championship with an 8-4 victory over No. 12 Sewanee.
