Tip 1: Pop-ups will not stop

  • FIRST, Do Alt-F4. This is the magical keyboard shortcut that will close the pop-up.
  • Install AVG or a pop up blocker like Ublock Origin from the chrome store
  • Don't go on that website
  • Report the ad if it has malicious content

Tip 2: You get a virus

  • DOWNLOAD AVG, NORTON, OR ANOTHER ANTIVIRUS ASAP.
  • DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE YOU KNOW FOR SURE IS SAFE.

Tip 3: Is your problem physical?

  • Is the computer off?
  • Are the cords plugged in ALL THE WAY?
  • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Is your power on?
  • Is your power setting correct?
  • Is the computer's set up correctly?

Tip 4: Is your problem in the software?

  • Is your brightness 0%?
  • Is your antivirus up to date?
  • Do you have antivirus?
  • Is your computer drivers up to date?

Tip 5: Is your computer running slow?

  • Tip 1: Did you download anything like FREE GAMES!!! or Bonzi Buddy or anything like that?
  • Did you set the power setting to standard?
  • Are you running something your CPU or graphics card can't handle?
  • Do you have antivirus?

Tip 6: Did you get a suspicious email or a email telling you to buy this?

  • Don't buy their software. EVER.
  • Block the email.

Tip 7: Is your Internet working?

  • Check if your provider's service is up
  • Is the router on?
  • Is it connected?
  • Is it on airplane mode?

Tip 8: You BSOD

Follow the steps on it. If all else fails, get a new computer or call tech support.

Tip 9: BACK UP YOUR DATA

DO IT

If your computer breaks, you can get a new computer and restore with a restore point.
