The Fran Zone/JMC Scholarship for News Media that Makes a Difference provides financial assistance to women pursuing a degree in the news communications field. At the 2016 Genii Awards, Fran Zone, an AWM past chapter president, announced the creation of five (5) $1,000 Scholarships to be awarded via AWM. The Fran Zone/JMC fund was created by Ms. Zone after she led an award-winning media information campaign on sexual harassment, partnering with former President of Hearst Magazines Enterprises, John Mack Carter (JMC). All Fund awards focus on supporting women in the communications field.

We hope you join Alliance for Women in Media SoCal and Fran Zone during Digital Hollywood on Thursday, October 12th at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles to celebrate these amazing film and scholarship recipients.

Please RSVP (you + guest) to ensure that your names are added to the Digital Hollywood guest list for admittance. Deadline to register has been extended to October 8, 2017 by end of day.
