NIKE SOUTHSIDE CHICAGO STAFF PRESENTED 8 PAIRS OF EXCLUSIVE SHOES (NIKE SOUTHSIDE CHICAGO 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AIR FORCE ONES) TO C.H.A.M.P.S., Q.U.E.E.N.S. (ONLY 60 MADE WORLDWIDE) THE 1ST PAIR PRESENTED TO THE FOUNDER OF C.H.A.M.P.S. MR. SINGLETON FOR HIS SUPPORT OF YOUTH AND BEING AN INSPIRATION
YAH-KEY SHARED HIS PASSION AROUND THE GREAT WORK HE'S DOING WITH GODWORK FOUNDATION AND HE ALSO PERFORMED HIS HIT SONG "FAVOR"
FOUNDER, MR. SINGLETON- REMINDED EVERYONE THAT WE ARE PROMOTING THE 3E'S EDUCATION-EMPOWERMENT-AND EXPOSURE. WE ARE TRYING TO GET AHEAD OF OUR SUMMER BY PROVIDING TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO HELP YOUTH NAVIGATE THE SUMMER
AMAZING ANTICIPATION AT THE CHAMPS 2ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE- MANY GUESTS AND YOUTH TRAVELED FROM PLACES LIKE OKLAHOMA, LOUISIANA, MICHIGAN, KENTUCKY, WISCONSIN, MINNESOTA, VIRGINIA, FLORIDA, AND SOUTH CAROLINA
DLOW AND KEMO PUT THEIR SETS TOGETHER AND INVITED THE WHOLE BUILDING TO BOP WITH THEM. IT WAS LIT. DLOW FLEW IN FROM HIS TOUR WITH SO SO DEF JUST TO BE HERE IN SUPPORT OF THE CHAMPS MOVEMENT
BIG ROB "THE MOTIVATOR" SPOKE TRUTH AT THE C.H.A.M.P.S CONFERENCE. IT PENETRATED EVERY HEART IN THE AUDITORIUM. HE WAS RELEVANT AND RELATABLE. POWERFUL MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR OUR YOUTH. WE MUST FIGHT NO MATTER WHAT
DEVINE CARAMA HAILING FROM LEXINGTON, KY-GENEROUSLY AND PROFESSIONALLY DISCERNED THE CROWD'S HUNGER FOR DEEP METAPHORS AND DELIVERED SOME LYRICAL EXCELLENCE OF SPOKEN WORD. THE CROWD HUNG ONTO EVERY WORD.
The World Renown Southshore Drill Team performance was stellar. They left everyone blown away with their high-steps and electrifying theatrical dance moves.
A COLLECTIVE GROUP OF POWERFUL MEN SPOKE ON THE C.H.A.M.P.S. PANEL LED BY MODERATOR DARRYL COOKE-WHO OWNS HIS SHOW ON CHICAGO'S 106.3 R&B
"ADOT" FROM BUTLER COLLEGE PREP WAS A SPECIAL TREAT. HE POETICALLY STREAMED WORDS TOGETHER LIKE A RIVER IN A STREAM
GZOg Nation Dance Group lead by CHAMPS Member Christian Terry brought energy and merged old school and new school hip-hop and R & B. They did a fantastic job with choreography and mixed routines.
HUNDREDS OF YOUTH SURPRISED MR. SINGLETON WITH A SPECIAL PRESENTATION OF "THE MAN OF THE YEAR" TROPHY. THE SOUND OF THE FUTURE PERFORMED AND WROTE A SONG CALLED "MR. SINGLETON"
The Endurer showed why he is still standing! His effortless vocals coupled with Gary Comer's Renita Washington proved to be a perfect blend of heavenly melody. "I once was lost, but now I'm found" HASHTAG #GRACE
C.H.A.M.P.S. AWARDS- MR. STEVEN RAY ROBERTSON WAS HONORED A "LIFETIME MENTOR AWARD" FOR 20 YEARS OF MENTORING FOUNDER, MR. SINGLETON AND HIGH SCHOOL CLASSMATE MR. JACKSON
C.H.A.M.P.S RECOGNIZED SOME OF THE MEN THAT ARE MOVING MEN IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION. THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THOSE MEN. WE PLAN TO HONOR MANY MORE (MULTI -GRAMMY, OSCAR AWARD WINNER-RHYMEFEST, BLACK STAR PROJECT, PRINCIPAL GOINS, CHIEF RON CARPENTER, JAHMAL COLE, HERB IVORY, PASTOR C. BOYD TRE'SEAN DILLARD, GREG HARRIS, AND MANY MORE....
CHAMPS HAD SEVERAL POWERFUL WORKSHOPS THAT FEATURED DYNAMIC LEADERS THAT SHARED INSIGHT WITH OUR YOUTH
