THE FIFTH TUESDAY: WE TALK ABOUT FAMILY By: JAnelle sweigart

Morrie being happy

Summary

In this chapter Morrie talks about family and love. Morrie glances through family photos and tells Mitch about how much more difficult his disease would be without his friends and family. In his time of struggle love and care is what holds him together. In this chapter Morrie also explains what love is to Mitch.

Quote

Morrie says, ".....Without love, we are birds with broken wings" (Albom 92).

What Does morrie teach mitch?

I believe that Morrie teaches Mitch life lessons through the book. Morrie and Mitch get really close throughout the book as well. Somethings he teaches Mitch are love, a real marriage, and forgiveness.

Symbol

The symbol I chose reincarnation and renewal because Morrie teaches Mitch about love. Which motivated Mitch after learning about love. Mitch is able to reincarnate himself in life.
