Palm Valley Happenings for April 24th-28th

We are celebrating our Classified Staff this Week!

So much of the background work is taken care of by many of our Classified Employees! We appreciate each of our cafe' workers, custodial crew, instructional aides, maintenance crew, front office staff, health services staff, crossing guards, and bus drivers for all you do! We could not do our jobs without you. Day in and day out you support our students and teachers! You make sure our children are fed, have a clean place to learn, support their learning by teaching in small groups, supervise students on the playground and in the cafe, answer phones, love on them when they are feeling ill, welcome parents and community to our campus, make sure students safely get to school, make sure they get to school and home safely and SO MUCH MORE! This week we want to celebrate YOU and THANK YOU for your love and dedication to our school family!

Student Showcase Night, May 4th from 5pm to 6pm. Drama Performance will be at 6:00pm. Chorus Performance will be at 6:15pm. Buy One, Get One Book Fair will be open also!

Mark Your Calendars! Join us on May 4th from 5pm to 6pm for our Student Showcase Night! After School Drama will perform at 6pm in the gym and our last Chorus Performance will start at 6:15 in the gym. BOGO Book Fair will be in the Library to stack up for summer reading! We are also anticipating that we will have a Food Truck available too!

Lunch Account Balances

Lunch Account Balances: Please be advised that after Monday, April 17, lunch account balances will no longer be allowed to drop below $0.00. If your son/daughter purchases lunch please ensure money is on their lunch account. Thank you.

Palm Valley Elementary PTO News & Upcoming Events

This is our final PTO meeting of the year on April 25th at 6pm. Elections will be held on this evening as well. All positions are open- President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, K-2 representative, and 3-5 representative. Protecting Their Innocence in a Digital World

Western Sky Middle School is pleased to welcome back Mr. Chris Panneton as he shares valuable information to help us keep our children digitally safe. Please join us as we learn how specific apps can hide information, perpetrators can easily access personal information to exploit children, and inappropriate use of technology can result in criminal charges. This course will cover sensitive topics that include graphic information.

This workshop is FREE and open to the public. It is perfect for anyone who works with or cares for children. Parents, grandparents, and guardians are all encouraged to join. All participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. Educators will receive 1.5 hours of professional development.

Parents are encouraged to bring children.

Childcare is provided for children potty trained and older.

**6th to 8th grade students are welcome and encouraged to join his or her family in listening to the presentation.

Snacks and water provided.
