Robert Frank was born November 9, 1924. He is still alive, and is 92 year old. Robert is a street photographer who likes to create work that gives his viewers a new way of seeing the world with the use of grainy, dramatic and tilted shots. He worked for Alexey Brodovitch, but then Robert decided to take six months off to travel and explore Peru and Bolivia. Robert photographed with a 35mm Leica. He used that camera because Alexey Brodovitch suggested it to him which Robert looked up to him. He shot in natural lighting. He was influenced by Walker Evans. What I like about Roberts work is that he produced is photographs through film, which I think gives the photo a raw and retro look.
