2017 Life sports spring game passing game shines in front of a capacity crowd at the shoe



Hall of Fame Coach Lou Holtz and Nike Founder Phil Knight were on hand to serve as guest coaches for the Spring Game.

First Quarter

A trio of passing touchdowns paced the offense for the Scarlet and Gray squads.

J.T. Barrett (Gray) connected with A.J. Alexander for a one-yard score.

Dwayne Haskins (Scarlet) answered immediately, finding Johnnie Dixon for an 18-yard strike. Joe Burrow (Scarlet) capped off the quarter with a 35-yard pass to Ke'Von Huguely.

Team Scarlet led 14-10 after one.

Second Quarter

The second quarter was full of big plays. Joe Burrow connected for back-to-back touchdowns with Johnnie Dixon (44 yards) and DeMario McCall (40 yards).

Dwayne Haskins (pictured) answered back with a pair of touchdowns, finding Terry McLaurin twice (30 yards, 22 yards).

Scarlet took a 28-24 lead into the break.

Halftime SNAPS

Third Quarter

Dwayne Haskins orchestrated a 10 play, 65-yard drive that culminated in a J.K. Dobbins touchdown from the one-yard-line.

With one quarter to play, Scarlet and Gray were tied 31-31.

Fourth Quarter

Freshman QB Tate Martell entered the game and immediately scored a go-ahead touchdown for Scarlet.

The Spring Game concluded with close friend of the program and past honorary captain Jacob Jarvis scoring the game's final touchdown.
