The GPS Premier Program

The GPS Massachusetts Premier program is for young players who aspire to achieve excellence in their game. Our emphasis is player-centric with development the number one priority. We focus on the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of players on a pathway towards maximizing their full potential.

The winning tradition that has been established over the past 17 years is based on each player improving significantly over the time they are with the club. All players will conduct themselves at all times in accordance with the GPS Premier Team player code of conduct and all players will be treated as equals.

The GPS Coaching staff will be coaches of positive significance in our player’s lives. Our coaches will inspire and motivate our players in an atmosphere of respect and honesty versus fear and intimidation and players will be encouraged to think for themselves. Success is achieved through building good habits and having players be accountable for their own development.

Our Premier Program is divided into four distinct phases:

  1. GPS Juniors (2016 - 2014)
  2. Early Development League (2013-2012)

Junior Premier Program

  • Birth Year 2011-2008

The GPS Junior Premier Program has a tailored curriculum that will provide players with a fun, energetic and competitive environment focused on individual player development while learning the GPS style of play.

Each tier of the GPS Junior Premier Program operates a player pool system. At this stage of a young player’s development, there are a lot of variables that can enhance or impact development and we want to ensure that our players are given the necessary support and time to be able to reach their full potential. While we fully understand how ‘winning’ can positively affect player development, it is a by-product of a solid technical-tactical base and of a club’s player development philosophy.

The player pool system will provide our coaching staff the opportunity to move players throughout the year to provide maximum opportunity and ensure players are placed in the right environment to maximize their development. Players are split based on ability, attitude, commitment to the game and what GPS think is best for the player’s development.

Our regional teams will compete in the New England Premiership (www.newenglandpremiership.com) plus both State and Regional events depending on the level of the group.

GPS Regional Premier Program

  • Birth Year 2007 - 2001

The Regional Premier Program is split into tiers and players are split based on ability, attitude, commitment to the game and what GPS think is best for the player's development.

The Regional Premier program is for players with a passion for soccer who are aiming to maximize their development and strive to achieve their highest potential. Our regional teams will compete in the New England Premiership (www.newenglandpremiership.com) plus State, Regional and National events depending on the level of the group.

Each tier provides curriculum based on the four pillars of the game - technical, tactical, physical and psychological. There will be less movement between each tier of the program, but the GPSmstaff reserve the right to move players up and down.
