What was the Trojan war? How did the war start? The Trojan war was a war between the greeks and the people of Troy. It began after the Trojan prince Paris abducted Helen , Wife of Menelaus of Sparta.
How did the war start and end? The Trojan war is to be believed lasted 10 years and was traditionally dated between the dates 1194 ~ 1184 BC.
Who were the major players in the war? The major players in the war were the Greeks and the Trojans with their allies, upon a Phrygian city of Troy (llium), on Asia Minor (modern Turkey).
How does the Odyssey relate to it? It relates to the Trojan war because the Odyssey is based off of the Trojan war and homer other epic poem Lliad is also related to it.
