Meet the in-country Peru team in Mesita Andina

Carlos Urbanos Venices

Carlos works in economic development, helping communities identify commodities and markets. In Mesita Andina he's working with small producers of potatoes on efficiency and collaboration in order to reach critical mass to take to market. He'll then ensure the communities get a fair price.

Wilmer Alejandro Cruz LaMadrid

Wilmer trains rural communities in nutrition and health, helping those in extreme poverty meet basic needs. He's also integral to identifying the communities CHOICE Humanitarian will work with, looking for the forgotten, undersevered communities that are eager and open to intervention.

Cynthia Ruesta Montalván

With a degree in animal science from La Universidad de Piura, Cynthia creates a curriculum for families and community leaders about how to raise game animals.


An argominist studying sustainable agriculture, focusing on agricultural productivity. He teaches organic farming practicies and helps families receive basic nutrition through small family gardens



Flor is the community facilitator and great connector in the 12 communities in Mesita Andina. She's responsible for figuring out the greatest needs in the communities and prioritizing projects.


Born in Mesita Andina, Abraham is the community's vice president. As a respected leader, he's essential to mobilizing the community around the project and is a main liaison between CHOICE and the community. With a degree in agriculture, it's his mission to bring sustainable farming and healthy nutrition to his village.
