John 11:3-4, 27 Christy SilveR

"So the sisters sent the word to Jesus, 'Lord, the one you love is sick.' When he heard this, Jesus said, 'This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." - John 11: 3-4

In these two verses, we can see that Jesus identifies that God has a son, and through God will the son be glorified. In the next verse, we will see why this is important.

“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” - John 11: 27

The woman identifies Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus has previously mentioned that God had a son in the verse on the slide before. We can see with these three verses that Jesus tries to explain to us that he is the Son, but only people who truly understand, like this woman, will comprehend that he is alluding to himself as the Son of God.
