[12/01] - Mocs Battle Cold, Muddy Course at NCAA National Championship ... On a cold and blustery day with a race time temperature of 42 degrees, Florida Southern finished in 30th place out of 34 teams over a muddy course here at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park. The Moccasins finished with 814 points with Mitchell Kozik being the first FSC runner to cross the finish line placing 150th out of 261 runners. - (read more)

[11/30] - Men's Cross Country To Compete at NCAA Nationals ... The Florida Southern men's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park with the men's 10K race beginning at 11 a.m. The Moccasins earned the trip with a third-place finish at the NCAA South Regional meet held Nov. 17 at Lakeland's Holloway Park and Nature Preserve. - (read more)

[11/28] - Mocs Knock Off Tampa to Open SSC Play ... Florida Southern College women's basketball overcame a four-point, fourth-quarter deficit to top Tampa, 55-48, in its Sunshine State Conference opener on Wednesday night at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The No. 21 Moccasins (5-1, 1-0 SSC) limited the Spartans (5-1, 0-1) to just six points in the second quarter to take a 26-19 halftime lead, but went cold in the third quarter before outscoring Tampa 19-10 over the final 10 minutes of action. - (read more)

[11/28] - Releford Helps Lift Men's Hoops Past Tampa ... Rico Releford's strong performance off the bench helped lift Florida Southern College men's basketball to a 74-67 win over Tampa in the Sunshine State Conference opener on Wednesday night at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The No. 21 Moccasins (5-1, 1-0 SSC) trailed the Spartans (4-3, 0-1) by five points at the half, but Florida Southern limited Tampa to just 27 points in the second half and Releford hit two key three-pointers late in the game to help the Mocs complete the comeback. - (read more)

Men's Basketball to Stage Alumni Weekend Dec. 15 ... The Florida Southern men's basketball program welcomes all former players, coaches, and their families to Alumni Weekend on Dec. 15. There will be an alumni game at 2 p.m. with the Moccasins taking on Lindenwood University later that evening at 5:30 in the George W. Jenkins Field House. - (read more)

[12/01] - Rocket League Team Picks Up Win No. 17 ... The Florida Southern College Esports Rocket League squad has been busy over the past two months, playing in 17 matches since the beginning of October. After a slow start to the season, the Moccasins have gone 12-5 over the past two months to improve to 17-11 on the season. Florida Southern has won 10 of its last 12 Rocket League outings, including a 2-1 record in its most recent competitions on Nov. 18. - (read more)

[11/27] - Trio of Moccasins Earn All-America Honors ... Less than a week after earning all-region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), three Florida Southern College volleyball student-athletes were named as all-Americans on Tuesday. Nicole Mattson (first team), Bethany Besancenez (third team), and Rachael Martin (honorable mention) added yet another award to their laundry list of accolades this season. - (read more)

[11/27] - Three Moccasins Make United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Team ... Three Florida Southern men's soccer players have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Team, the first such selections for the Moccasins since 2011, and their most in one season since 1997. Earning second team honors were sophomore forward James Meehan, junior midfielder Christoph Gums, and junior defender Foster Appiah. - (read more)

[11/29] - 2019 Men's and Women's Track Schedule Released ... The schedule for the 2019 men's and women's track season has been jointly announced by first-year head coaches Matt Levassiur (men) and Stephanie Bylander (women). The Moccasins will compete in seven meets during the season while qualifying runners could compete in an additional seven competitions. All but one event will be held in the state of Florida. - (read more)

[12/02] - Moccasins Walk to #StopSuicide ... Nearly 100 Florida Southern College student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff participated in the annual "Out of the Darkness" Community Walk around Lake Hollingsworth on Saturday to benefit the Central Florida chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Several Moccasin athletic teams were on hand early to help set up the event, while others walked with more than 600 others to show their support in the fight against suicide, and the Mocs also helped AFSP volunteers clean up after the event. - (read more)

Congrats to former Moccasin shortstop, Dino Ebel '88, who has been named the new third base coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers! He spent the first 17 years of his pro career as a minor league player, coach, and manager with the Dodgers, and the last 14 with the Angels ... A big shout out and thank you to former Moccasin Cedric Powell '02 and his family who on Nov. 28, presented a $25,000 check to Florida Southern College President Dr. Anne Kerr and Director of Athletics Pete Meyer. The check was presented for the Cedric and Dr. Donna Powell Endowed Scholarship for Men's Basketball. Powell played for the Mocs from 1999-2002 ... Congratulations to another former Moccasin basketball player, Garrett Hull '08, who has been named the head hoops coach at his alma mater, Naples High School. Hull played for FSC from 2005-07.
