Themes in the Book!

Isolation- After susie dies she is isolated in heaven and feels alone because she cant help her family find her killer. susie says "Why cant they hear me? why cant I lead them to him."

Forgiveness - Susie cant seem to forgive the world after she gets raped and murdered but soon realizes how beautiful the world really is. "This world first seemed dark and cold but now it truly is a beautiful place."

Guilt- susie's family feels like they were the reason she went missing and ended up being murdered. Susies mother said while sobbing "We should've stayed outside and watched them ride their bikes, we should have!"
