Hello, my name is Dylan. I researched electronics. I was interested in this topic because I wanted to know how much time 7th grade students spend on electronics and why they use them. I asked the question how much time do you spend on electronics in a day on a scale of 1-5? To answer my question I asked 9 people. The sample group was made up of seventh graders that are in google basics. I picked this group because I wanted to know what google basics students thought about electronics. I avoided sample bias by asking certain questions.
I was expecting to find the data I did because I knew that a lot of people use electronics with all the knew technology. Mostly everybody these days at least use some type of electronic. I was not surprised to find that that the most people spend time on phones, i pods, i pads, and stuff related to those more than any other electronic. Out of the people that took my survey, 77.8% spends the most time on an electronic related to phones. My survey did achieve it's purpose because it gave me the information that I needed, even though it was what I expected. I think that the results can be applied to everyone in the 7th grade. The results of this survey can be used in the future to test other grades.
As a next step I would give the same survey to a bigger population. If I were to give the same survey again I would not change any of the questions on it because they I think they made sense to the people that took it.
