Our Client

Our customer is a leading globally engaged pharmaceutical company dedicated to save lives with an innovative range of pharmaceutical products. It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world by focusing on products that cover a broad range of areas.

Alzheimer's has no current cure, but treatments for symptoms are available and research continues. Although current Alzheimer's treatments cannot stop Alzheimer's from progressing, they can temporarily slow the worsening of dementia symptoms and improve quality of life for those with Alzheimer's and their caregiver.

Our client developed a innovate product which has demonstrated in the so far performed clinical trials data suggesting that it could become an impactful treatment for Alzheimer. The new inhibitor, is being developed as a potential treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. The enzyme inhibited by the product plays a key role in the initiation of the peptide production in the brain and inhibiting such production can be a promising means for therapeutic intervention.

The role

We are looking for highly trained scientists, preferably with a strong neurology background and excellent communications skills specializing in Medical Affairs interactions to support of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)/External Clinical and Scientific Experts and healthcare professionals (HCP).

The two territories will be around North/East (Würzburg, Leipzig, Berlin, Dresden) and North (Hamburg, Hannover, Göttingen, Rostock).

  • The MSL will be responsible for engaging with specified KOLs in their territory through appropriate high-level scientific support for research activities, publications, education, consulting, and other Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • The MSL will develop and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts.
  • Building and growing of a regional Scientific Leader network focused on Alzheimer’s dementia/neurology.
  • Establish our client scientifically in neurology circles with focus on Alzheimer’s.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with specified KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts and assigned institutions to provide scientific and clinical trial support for existing products.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for clinical and scientific information exchange with KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts and health care providers.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for connecting KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts and their affiliate institutions with appropriate Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • Provide scientific and liaison support for the involvement of KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts in clinical research, advisory, educational, and other research partnership opportunities with customer.
  • You will work in a team of four MSL and the position will report to the Medical Affairs Team lead Neurology.
  • You will be our scientific voice into the KOL community in your assigned region.
  • As a MSL in this project you will help the key players to understand the science behind the product and build a solid network within the respective target group.

Your profile
  • Degree in Medical studies, sciences or pharmacy or alternatively PhD in Science
  • MSL experience in Neurology
  • Alzheimers experience would be a benefit
  • Relationships with KOLs in the your territory preferred
  • Proven track record of success
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and experience of making scientific presentations to senior medical groups
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work independently and as a part of diverse teams
