Ryan O'Connell is a writer who has Cerebral Palsy. When he was born he was blue and his brain was dying from lack of oxygen. The doctors had way to predict the extent of his mental and physical impairments. He has two other siblings and they both were born healthy.

Cerebral Palsy is a disorder that affects body movement and is incurable but treatment may help. It is chronic meaning that it can last for years or lifelong. Treatments can include physical and other therapies and medication.

Ryan has had many test done on him to check how fast it is progressing, he's had many MRI's to help with this. He also goes threw physical therapy. He has never participated in any clinical trials and he is expected to live till 50.
